Mr. Noe was named General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary of Hercules Offshore, Inc. in October 2005. In this position, Mr. Noe manages the Company’s legal affairs and also serves as the Company’s Chief Compliance Officer, where he is responsible for managing its compliance program.
Mr. Noe brings to Hercules over eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Hercules, he served as Corporate Counsel for BJ Services Company, a worldwide oilfield services company, where he was responsible for various corporate matters, including corporate governance (with an emphasis on BJ’s international subsidiaries and ventures), mergers and acquisitions, and legal matters in BJ’s Russian and South American operations. Mr. Noe also served as Counsel for Single Buoy Moorings, a Monaco-based company that designs, owns, and operates floating production systems (FPSOs and FSOs).
Early in his career, Mr. Noe was in private practice with the New Orleans law firm of King, LeBlanc & Bland, where he focused on corporate and commercial issues for oil and gas companies and shipyards. During his private practice, Mr. Noe represented shipyards in large naval construction disputes before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He also represented vessel owners in construction disputes and arbitrations in Europe and the Far East.
A native of Selma, Alabama, Mr. Noe holds a bachelor of arts degree with honors from the University of Alabama and a juris doctorate from Louisiana State University. He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas and is a frequent speaker at various oil and gas related seminars. |
