Jim Dunbar retired from the Houston Police Department (HPD) as a Sergeant. He served 27 years as a police officer in Houston and Atlanta, Georgia. He helped form and supervise the Public Integrity Unit (now Office of Inspector General) for HPD. As a police officer, Jim served in patrol, internal affairs, the Hostage Negotiation Unit, the Solo Motorcycle Unit and Mounted Patrol. Jim Dunbar currently holds a Lieutenant’s police commission with the Harris County Constables Office, Precinct #4.
Dunbar received many honors as a police officer. Those honors included 100 Club Officer of the Year, HPD Meritorious Service Award, Five Chief of Police Commendations and many others.
Jim Dunbar maintains the certifications of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Homeland Security Expert (CHS III).
Jim supervises corporate investigations and countermeasures of Kimmons Security. He is a graduate of Jarvis International Counterintelligence Academy in Tulsa Oklahoma (basic and advanced), for TSCM or debugging training. |
