James W. Brinkley has served as Director of Legg Mason, Inc., a holding company that, through its subsidiaries, provides financial services to individuals, institutions, corporations, governments and government agencies, since its formation in 1981. Mr. Brinkley has served as a Senior Executive Vice President of Legg Mason since December 1983. Mr. Brinkley became Chairman of Legg Mason Wood Walker, Incorporated (LMWW), Legg Mason's principal brokerage subsidiary, in February 2004. Mr. Brinkley previously served as LMWW's Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from July 2003 through February 2004, as its President from 1985 until July 2003 and as its Chief Operating Officer from February 1998 until July 2003. |
