James S. Beard, 67, served as President of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and Vice President of Caterpillar Inc., from 1991 to 2005. Since joining Caterpillar in 1965, Mr. Beard held positions of increasing responsibility including Finance Manager for Caterpillar Brasil S.A., Assistant Sales Manager for Caterpillar Americas Co. and Region Finance Manager for the U.S. Commercial Division. He serves in a leadership position of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation since it formation in 1981.
Mr. Beard was elected to the Board of Directors in July 2008 and is a member of the Compensation Committee and the Finance Committee. |
