James R Hagerty, co-founder of the Firm, leads a diverse corporate, tax, securities and government affairs practice. Mr. Hagerty's international tax background combined with his representation of businesses and organizations ranging from start-up businesses to public companies in connection with complex business matters gives him the ability to advise, counsel and represent his clients in a broad range of business and tax matters in the U.S. and around the world. A long-time resident of Washington, D.C., Mr. Hagerty represents the Firm's clients before Congress and the Executive Branch and also advises tax-exempt organizations on all types of operational and tax issues. His clients value his practicality, tenacity, attention to detail and judgment.
Mr. Hagerty earned a Masters in Tax Law from Georgetown University and is currently the Chairman of the Treasury, Revenue and Tax Committee of the ABAs Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Section.
