Ron Lawson was named executive vice president in December 2005. Mr. Lawson is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of key customer relationships. He is involved in the continued development of global education and training, while maintaining a close working relationship with the Stryker selling organizations.
Mr. Lawson joined Stryker in December 1998 serving as senior vice president of sales, marketing and product development for the Company’s Orthopaedics division. He was then promoted to a vice president of the Company and president of worldwide business development in 1999. He also served as president, Stryker Europe; and group president, Stryker International and Global Orthopaedics.
Mr. Lawson began his career with Howmedica as a salesman, ran his own distributorship for many years and served as senior vice president of sales and customer service until the company was acquired by Stryker in 1998.
