James R. Boyle, as Executive Vice President of the John Hancock Insurance Group, has responsibility for John Hancock’s Life Insurance, Long-Term Care and Financial Network business units. Mr. Boyle directs the business strategy, sales, marketing, product development and service operations of each of these businesses which are all part of John Hancock Financial Services, the U.S. division of Manulife Financial. He is also a member of Manulife’s Management and Executive Committees and serves on the Board of Directors of John Hancock Trust and John Hancock Funds.
John Hancock Life Insurance is an industry leader in the U.S. life insurance sector. The business focuses on high net-worth and emerging affluent markets by providing estate and business planning solutions with a broad portfolio of life insurance products. John Hancock was the #1 writer of life insurance in the United States in 2006 as reported by LIMRA. The Life Insurance business unit supports more than 3 million policyholders.
John Hancock is also a recognized leader in the long-term care insurance industry - ranking as the #1 carrier in the group business and the #2 carrier in the individual business (LIMRA 2006). The Long Term Care business unit currently services more than 970,000 LTCI policyholders nationwide.

With more than 300 registered branch offices and 1,450 financial representatives nationwide, JHFN and its financial services professionals assist families and businesses in building and protecting their wealth through a range of products and services in the areas of estate planning, retirement planning, college savings, business succession, life and long-term care insurance as well as investment diversification.
Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Boyle was Executive Vice President of John Hancock Wealth Management where he was responsible for the Variable Annuities, Mutual Funds, Retirement Plan Services, Investment Management Services and College Savings businesses.
Before joining Manulife and John Hancock, Mr. Boyle worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Boyle graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant. |
