As president and chief executive officer of CHP's West Central Ohio Health Partners Region (and as president and chief executive officer of the region's one hospital, St. Rita's Medical Center, since 1988), James Reber has an established reputation for collaboration. His current and past involvement on the boards of several community organizations (including a bank, regional development group and local YMCA) opens doors toward furthering CHP's role in improving the health status of persons in west central Ohio. Under his leadership, St. Rita's formed an alliance with three regional hospitals and joined a second alliance to share services and equipment, collaborate and enhance services to the communities it serves. He also
serves as a member of the CHP board of trustees' quality management and strategic planning committees.
Mr. Reber's previous hospital administration experience includes serving as president and CEO, Franklin Medical Center in Franklin, Pa. and as chief operating officer, Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del.
A frequent lecturer in quality assurance and hospital benefit programming, Mr. Reber holds bachelor's degree in economics from Juniata College and a master's degree in hospital administration from the University of Michigan. |
