Mr. O'Brien is currently Vice President and General Auditor of Consolidated Edison Company of New York. He became General Auditor in January 1998.
Mr. O'Brien joined Con Edison's Corporate Accounting Department in 1972. He was promoted to Assistant Controller in 1981. He became a Director in Human Resources in 1987 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 1989. In 1994 he was promoted to Vice President Information Resources.
Mr. O'Brien is currently a member of both the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Edison Electric Institute's Auditing Group. Mr. O'Brien graduated from Fordham University with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1968. After graduation he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy before joining Con Edison.
