Practice Focus
A member of our firm since 2002, J.P.’s general practice encompasses civil litigation covering a wide breadth of areas. His work includes the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in cases ranging from small claims matters to disputes with hundreds of thousands of dollars in controversy. J.P. also practices before administrative tribunals.
J.P.’s practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, insurance law, employment litigation, municipal and administrative law, personal injury and medical malpractice, construction litigation, landlord/tenant matters, trade secret protection and disputes and non-competition and confidentiality litigation.Sample Matters
Successfully argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court on behalf of a timber company and its principals against an insurance company that breached its insurance agreement.
Successfully argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court on behalf of a restaurant owner for the invalidation of a town smoking ban.
Defends employers and municipalities in employment discrimination claims and claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Memberships and Admissions
J.P. is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and before the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is a member of the New Hampshire, Manchester and American Bar Associations, of the New Hampshire Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. J.P. currently is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Legislation Committee.
Community Involvement
J.P. is currently the Board of Trustees Chair for the Kevin T. McHugh Memorial Scholarship Fund and serves on the Board of Development for St. Joseph’s Regional Junior High School. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Trinity High School, as well as the Chairman of their Membership Committee and serves on the Community Investment Team of the Heritage United Way. |
