Mr. Roemer has been a director since 1995. He served as Chairman of the Board from January 1998 until May 2004, as President of the Company (formerly Bell & Howell Company) from February 1995 to January 2001 and as Chief Executive Officer from February 1997 until January 2003. From February 1995 to February 1997, he also served as Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Prior to that, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of ProQuest Information and Learning Company. Mr. Roemer joined Bell & Howell Company (now ProQuest Company) as President and Chief Operating Officer of Bell & Howell Publishing Services business (now ProQuest Business Solutions) in 1991. He was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of that business in 1993. Prior to joining ProQuest, Mr. Roemer was President of the Michie Group, Mead Data Central. Before that, he held general management positions at the company, including Vice President and General Manager of Lexis/Nexis, an on-line information service. Mr. Roemer is a director of Advent Software. |
