James P. Pomaranski is vice president of generation construction for Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy. He is responsible for construction
project management, major maintenance and emission reduction projects at company generating plants, and construction of new generation. He was named to this position in 2006.Pomaranski previously was executive project manager for Consumers Energy generation, where he led the effort to make more than $800 million in plant modifications required by the Clean Air Act. Prior to that, he served as maintenance
manager and project engineering manager at Consumers Energy’s Palisades nuclear plant. Before joining Consumers Energy, Pomaranski worked in project controls at Townsend & Bottum.Pomaranski has a master’s degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University and a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Lawrence Institute of Technology.
