James Bradley is one of the nation s most experienced and respected healthcare executives. He is a leading authority on healthcare information technology and a driving force for innovation. As an executive, entrepreneur, and industry leader, Mr. Bradley has been at the forefront of a multi-year effort to make electronic prescribing a reality to improve patient safety and contain healthcare costs. Mr. Bradley brings expertise on all issues related to electronic prescribing, including a deep understanding of the business needs of stakeholders such as physicians, health plans, pharmacy benefits managers, and pharmaceutical companies.
Mr. Bradley was the founding CEO of RxHub LLC, a healthcare technology company formed by the nation s three largest pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), Express Scripts (NASDAQ: ESRX), Medco Health (NYSE: MHS) and Caremark Rx (NYSE: CMX). RxHub was established to facilitate electronic prescribing and to remove critical barriers to adoption.
Prior to launching RxHub, Mr. Bradley was a Senior Business Development executive at McKesson (NYSE: MCK), the largest drug distribution and healthcare technology company in the world. Before its acquisition by McKesson, he was the Chairman, CEO and founder of Abaton, a provider of web-based physician connectivity services. Additionally, Mr. Bradley served as Chief Information Officer of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), one of the nation s largest healthcare service providers.
Mr. Bradley currently is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the education, certification and accreditation body of the nation s managed care plans. He was the NCQA Chairman of the Board from 2002-2005. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
