Mr. Wilkins' list of accomplishments is equally impressive. He is one of only three instructors responsible for Total Quality Management training and implementation assistance at NASA. He assisted in the development of a new missile system for the US Army. At a global automotive supplier, he led the worldwide deployment of DFSS, coached all Robust Engineering studies, and participated in Engineering Reviews of studies, one of which alone generated $18 million in savings for the company. He also assisted in the development of a new lead-free soldering process for that same company. At a Fortune 100 mining, construction and heavy equipment manufacturer, he coached the implementation of Robust Engineering practices. Following that, he was one of two consultants tasked with the initial implementation of Six Sigma worldwide. He was directly involved in a number of engineering projects, including the development of a new low emissions engine and the revolutionary "joy stick" steering control system for excavators.
Mr. Wilkins holds a Bachelor's degree from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
