James N. Phillips is the head of the Tax Planning Practice Group and a member of the International Law Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. His practice is concentrated in the areas of domestic and international tax planning and controversy matters, corporate and business law, acquisitions, executive compensation, employee benefits, and ownership succession issues. He provides counsel to corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and individuals. Jim has spoken on a variety of legal subjects. He serves as an instructor on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin Law School. Jim is a member of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Iowa Bar Associations. Jim received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Iowa Law School in 1976 and 1979, respectively. He served as an editor for The Journal of Corporation Law.
