Jim Tanner serves as director, Global Solutions Management for the Global Communications Industry group at Unisys. He brings more than 15 years of global experience in technical product management, product marketing, and business planning to Unisys. In his current role, Mr. Tanner is responsible for product planning, user requirements, and product strategy for Unisys Communications applications.
Before joining Unisys, Mr. Tanner was vice president of product management for Realm Business Solutions, Inc., a software provider to the commercial real estate market. In this executive position, he developed product strategy that encompassed product process and methodology for the entire company. Prior to that, Mr. Tanner served as director, NetWare Product Management for Novell, Inc. for several years. There he oversaw a product management team responsible for $500MM in annual revenue and led the NetWare 6 strategy and worldwide rollout.
Mr. Tanner began his career as a product manager at WordPerfect Corporation, where he coordinated user requirements, product engineering, testing, documentation, technical support, and other related services in developing and building product components for WordPerfect for DOS.
