James L. Davidson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History with Honors from the University of Florida in May of 2000. Following graduation, Mr. Davidson served as a legislative intern for the Washington D.C. office of Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) and the Washington D.C. office of Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL). In December of 2003, Mr. Davidson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Davidson was awarded a pro bono certificate for his work with the 15th Judicial Circuit Court Criminal Division, and also served on the Levin College of Law's 2003 Graduating Class Gift Committee. Mr. Davidson currently sits on the University of Florida Levin College of Law's Alumni Council.
Prior to joining Coughlin Stoia, Mr. Davidson worked as a litigation associate at Brinkley, Morgan, Solomon, Tatum, Stanley, Lunny & Crosby, LLP in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Mr. Davidson joined the Firm in 2007, where his practice focuses on complex class actions, including securities and consumer fraud litigation, as well as the representation of investors in class actions involving mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Davidson is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
