Mr. Ramp has over twenty years of experience in Capital Markets (research, sales, trading and investment banking). In January 1986, Mr. Ramp began his career in a management program at Wheat First Butcher & Singer (now Wachovia). While in the management program, Mr. Ramp worked in Equity Syndicate, Merchant Banking, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Operations and the Office of the President. Mr. Ramp went on to take a permanent position in the Corporate Syndicate Department where he served as a Vice President. In April 1991, Mr. Ramp joined Rothschild Inc. (an international banking firm) where he served as a Vice President working on U.S. and foreign-based equity transactions. In April 1993, Mr. Ramp was approached by Emanuel Gerard (former executive at Warner Communications) to build a new investment banking boutique, Gerard Klauer Mattison. At this firm Mr. Ramp held the position of Executive Vice President and was a member of the firm’s commitment and management committees. In 1997, Mr. Ramp joined SG Cowen and Company where he served as a Managing Director in the Equity Capital Markets Group covering technology and media. Mr. Ramp joined SFG in January 2001. He is a Managing Director and heads the firm’s Investment Banking Division. Mr. Ramp holds a BS in Finance and an M.B.A. from St. Joseph’s University. Mr. Ramp is also a graduate of the SIA‘s Wharton Institute. He is a member of the SIA and Bond Club of New York and served on the SIA’s National Syndicate Committee in 1994 and 1995.
