James O’Keefe is a global business leader, and demonstrated team builder, capable of maximizing shareholder wealth by taking business opportunities from concept to profitability in companies ranging from startups to $5B. He has established a record of unlocking shareholder value by converting privately-held business franchises to the higher multiples and liquidity afforded by public company ownership. Currently, Mr. O’Keefe works as a strategic advisor and mentor to high-growth technology companies in New York. Formerly the President and Co-CEO of Taconic, a privately-held $70+ million engineered Materials Company, Mr. O’Keefe managed 400 employees competing on five continents in microwave, architectural / construction and industrial fabric markets. Prior to joining Taconic, Mr. O’Keefe served as President/CEO of Interactive Learning International Corporation (ILINC/LearnLinc). During his tenure at ILINC/LearnLinc the company revenues grew over 10 times by opening two additional sales channels. Mr. O’Keefe is credited with negotiating partnership agreements with Intel, Microsoft, MCI and others. In addition, Mr. O’Keefe served as Vice President of Federal Sales for Softdesk, a $25 million Computer Aided Design software development firm ultimately acquired by Autodesk. He has also served as a Principal with Upstate Equities where he directed investment banking and technology portfolios for the venture funding firm. Mr. O’Keefe received his Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton Business School of The University of Pennsylvania, and his B.A. from St. Michael’s College of the University of Toronto. |
