James H. Laskey, a member of the firm, concentrates his practice in administrative and government regulatory law, including public utility, antitrust, health care and telecommunications issues.
Jim spends much of his time representing clients before state and federal administrative agencies, particularly the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. He also has substantial experience in corporate transactions within these industries, as well as the health care industry, in the area of antitrust analysis and premerger notification under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
Jim also regularly handles municipal franchising and zoning matters where the application involves specialized technologies and equipment. He is a Past Chair of the Public Utility Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, a current Trustee of the New Jersey Lawyers Fund for Client Protection, and the current Chair of the Somerset County Business Partnership. Jim appears in the Communications Law and Energy Law sections of the current edition of The Best Lawyers In America.
