Jim Graass, 50, joined Eagle Materials Inc. (formerly Centex Construction Products) in November 2000 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In July 2001, he was named Secretary of the company.
Previously, Mr. Grass served as Executive Vice President of CTX Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Dallas, Texas-based Centex Corporation. He joined the Centex organization in 1991 as Associate General Counsel for Centex Corporation. In this role, he provided legal support for Centex Corporation, Centex Construction Products (now Eagle Materials) and CTX Mortgage Company. In 1994 Mr. Graass became General Counsel for CTX Mortgage Company and was appointed Executive Vice President in 1999.
Prior to his career with Centex, Mr. Graass was an associate in the corporate and securities section at Hughes & Luce in Dallas.
Mr. Graass holds a B.A. in economics from Tufts University, an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. |
