Jim consults primarily to life and health insurance companies. His professional experience includes extensive work on actuarial appraisals for mergers and acquisitions; product development for life, health, and annuity plans; asset and liability analysis with emphasis on valuation of fixed income securities and derivatives; cash flow testing; statutory and GAAP valuations; embedded value analyses; claim liability analyses; and other life and health insurance consulting. Jim has also worked with Third Party Administrators in the analysis and development of health insurance programs. His health insurance experience includes product development of Medicare Supplement plans and Long-Term Care insurance plans. Jim is an expert in MG-ALFAź (Milliman's asset and liability system), assisting in the development of asset classes and life and health liability lines of business.
