Jim has tremendous experience as a consultant, human resources executive, entrepreneur and business leader. His background includes years of experience consulting in the areas of financial management, executive coaching, career transition, change management and staffing and selection. He has worked in entrepreneurial start-ups, boutique consulting firms and international professional firms. Jim has provided consulting services to a wide range of industries including banks, financial services firms, insurance companies, retailers, manufacturing organizations, professional
services firms, governmental agencies and healthcare organizations.
Jim joined the Chicago office of Coopers & Lyband upon graduation from Loyola University-Chicago as an auditor. He was quickly promoted to a Senior Consultant role on the firm’s newly established consulting division. Later, he was asked to manage the burgeoning human resources function for the rapidly growing Chicago office. Jim acquired his Masters in Industrial Relations from Loyola University after obtaining his CPA certification. He is a frequent speaker at a multitude of academic, social and professional organizations, including the Career Transitions Center of Chicago, Loyola University-Chicago and Illinois Institute of Technology. He has written over 100 articles on human resources and career management issues; in such publications as the American Banker, Personnel and Financial Executive. He has written a Careers column for three different publications.
After years as an active committee member and chairman, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois CPA Society and Foundation. He is currently serving his fourth term as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Career Transitions Center of Chicago. He was on the Executive Advisory Board for the Graduate School of Management at Lewis University; he also taught Human Resources Management there. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Options for People, Inc. and the College of DuPage Foundation. Jim was also elected to the presidency of the Alumni Association of Loyola’s School of Business Administration.
