Jim Woys is president of Health Net, Inc.'s Government and Specialty Services division. Health Net is among the nation’s largest publicly traded managed health care companies.
Mr. Woys' responsibilities include a broad scope of corporate issues such as health care management, as well as overseeing three business units: Health Net Federal Services (HNFS), the government operations division; MHN, Health Net's behavioral health subsidiary; and Health Net Pharmaceutical Services (HNPS), the company's internal pharmacy benefit manager. Mr. Woys also has overall responsibility for Information Technology, and he is a member of Health Net's Executive Operating Team.
Mr. Woys joined Foundation Health Corporation, a predecessor company of Health Net, in 1986 as director of Corporate Tax. He was promoted to the position of vice president, Finance and chief financial officer and oversaw all financial transactions of the company, including interactions with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Mr. Woys was responsible for financial oversight for all government programs and acted as chief strategist for all government proposals.
Prior to joining Health Net, Mr. Woys was a consultant at Arthur Andersen/PriceWaterhouse.
Mr. Woys earned his MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Arizona State University.
