James E. Sampel, Senior VP Operations and Chief Information Officer, sets the strategic technology vision for the Firm as well as ensures the efficient use of technology in all aspects of global data collection and operations. Previous to joining the Firm in 2004, James was head of the 454 Life Sciences IT team and prior to that spent 15 years with the Applera Corporation. His work with these science and biotech firms includes software and firmware engineering, information technology, acquisition and divestitures, operational retooling, and the genome project. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from DeVry University, TX and a MBA in Information Technology from PACE University, NY. |
