Jim Daniel has more than fifteen years of legal experience in the government and commercial services sector. Daniel joined SI International in 1999. In his role as General Counsel, he oversees all legal matters for the Company. His duties include general corporate legal affairs, transactional agreements, employment law, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and reporting and compliance matters for the Company, with its stock publicly-traded on NASDAQ. In his role as Corporate Secretary, Daniel is responsible for handling Board and Board Committee matters, as well as stockholder matters, including preparation and distribution of proxy and other materials related to stockholder meetings.
Prior to joining SI International, Daniel served as in-house counsel for The University of Memphis. In this capacity, he focused on transactional and intellectual property matters, with particular focus on legal matters related to sponsored research, licensing, and technology transfer. Daniel is admitted to practice law under the Corporate Counsel designation in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is admitted to practice law in the State of Tennessee. He is also a member of the Association for Corporate Counsel since 2002 He holds a B.S. in Business, with majors in Finance and Management, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, and a J.D. from Memphis State University in Memphis, Tennessee. |
