James D. Strader is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice to representing employers in workers' compensation matters. Mr. Strader is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and Supreme Court of West Virginia. He is a member of the Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Allegheny County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Workers’ Compensation Rules Committee and the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the educational arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Strader was General Attorney Workers’ Compensation and Casualty in the Law Department of the United States Steel Corporation. He also served in the United States Army achieving the rank of Captain. Mr. Strader graduated from Michigan State University in 1962 with a B.A. in Economics. He received his J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1965. Mr. Strader has chaired the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's biennial Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Practice and Procedure Course and co-authored its book. In addition, he has contributed chapters and articles to various legal and medical publications. Mr. Strader has been named in the current editions of The Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in America, and named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Mr. Strader has been active in church and civic organizations in addition to political activities on both a local and national level. He was elected and served as a Commissioner in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library and past President of the Board. |
