James D. Cooper is a partner in the Firm’s Corporate Department. Jim represents and advises banking clients in a wide variety of domestic and international financing transactions, including financings of mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations and spin-offs, working capital financings and various special-purpose financings. He also counsels corporate borrowers negotiating financing arrangements with banks and other financial institutions.
Jim was born in Whittier, California. He joined Cravath in 1979 and became a partner in 1986.
