Jim Patton was elected to the CHP board of trustees in April 2003. He brings to the board substantial healthcare experience from his career in healthcare auditing and consulting, including two years as CEO of a large physician group practice. Before retiring as a Partner from Ernst & Young, Mr. Patton was responsible for services to several of their largest healthcare clients and served in their Indianapolis and Chicago offices. He is an active trustee in several healthcare organizations, including Community Health Network in Indianapolis and Via Christi Health System in Wichita and chairs audit committees for several health systems. He is a frequent speaker on healthcare finance topics and continues to provide consulting services.
Mr. Patton earned a bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University, participated in the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and is a certified public accountant. He served as adjunct faculty for the Indiana University Masters of Health Administration program and has been a mentor for students at two universities. He is the past president of the Indiana University Kelly School of Business Alumni Association and has been active in several community organizations in Indianapolis. He presently serves on the Finance Advisory Committee for the Sisters of the Holy Cross in South Bend, Ind. |
