Represented purchaser of substantially all of the assets of chemical company, including acquisition of patents and trademarks.
Represented lenders in loans from one million dollars to thirty-five million dollars secured by real estate.

Assisted in representation of municipality in the planning, negotiation, and drafting of contracts and agreements for a sports and concert stadium and surrounding development.
Assisted in representation of lenders, three separate oil and gas secured loans, each over one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000.00). Responsible for in-house due diligence at companies, interviewing corporate officers regarding nature and extent of company operations, due diligence related to offshore and on-shore properties and recordation of mortgages and deeds of trust.
Conducted hundreds of title and survey reviews and negotiated and drafted easements, releases of easements, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, affidavits of non-production and releases of liens to clear title for land development.

Education:
Mr. Parks graduated from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor's degree from the Cox School of Business in 1997. He earned his law degree from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in 2000 where he served as the Associate Managing Editor of the SMU Law Review. |
