James McGuire concentrates his practice in environmental transactions and compliance and environmental litigation. He has experience in evaluating environmental liabilities and methods to reduce risk in clients' corporate and real estate transactions; reviewing and evaluating Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments; assisting clients in redevelopment of brownfields; assisting clients in obtaining regulatory closure from various state environmental agencies and helping clients achieve compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Mr. McGuire is also involved in a range of environmental litigation matters which include RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, Texas Solid Waste Disposal Act, and various state law claims based on environmental statutes and common law. He has handled claims from private parties, government agencies, and attorney general's office.
