James McFadzean serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Prior to joining DHR, Mr. McFadzean was Vice President in the Technology practice as well as the Board of Director practice with Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto. Prior to that, he founded two executive search firms McFadzean & Associates and Holland, McFadzean & Associates. He also served as Vice President in the Technology Practice of A. T. Kearney, which acquired Ray & Berndtson, where he had also served as Vice President in the Technology Practice. Mr. McFadzean has more than 25 years experience placing senior-level executives in Board of Directors, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Sales at start-up, emerging growth and established companies including portfolio companies for Venture Capital firms such as Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Mayfield Fund, Draper, Fisher, Jurvetson, and Sigma Partners. Mr. McFadzean received his Juris Doctor Degree in Law from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University, Chicago. He also earned ISS-Certification at the Directors’ Consortium, an executive Corporate Governance training program specific to the Sarbanes-Oxley era a joint offering from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, Stanford Law School, and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. McFadzean serves on the Board of Directors at the Southwest YMCA of Santa Clara County. He is an Executive Committee member of SPLASH (Swimmers Promoting Los Altos Swimming and Health). Mr. McFadzean also led fund raising for the Los Altos Community swimming facility and is the past President and member of the Board of Directors for De Anza Cupertino Aquatics (DACA), a United States Swimming (U.S.S.) competitive swim club. |
