James A. Watt has over 35 years of exploration and production experience. Mr. Watt spent 3 years with Amoco Production Company as a geophysicist followed by 17 years with Union Texas Petroleum Corporation working the majority of the US Basins. From 1991-1993, he served as Vice President Exploration and Exploitation for Nerco Oil and Gas Corporation and from 1993-1997 as Vice President Exploration for Seagull Energy Exploration. He joined Remington Oil and Gas Corporation in 1997 as President and Chief Operating Officer. In 1998, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and in 2003 was named Chairman of the Board of Directors. He remained in this capacity until June 2006 when the Company was sold to Helix Energy Solutions, Group. He joined Maverick Oil and Gas, Inc., an early stage oil and gas company in August 2006 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Watt holds a BS degree in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York. |
