Jim Moore joined North Point Advisors in early 2005. He has spent 20 years in various advisory, operational and Wall Street positions. Most recently he was a Managing Director in Research for DB Alex. Brown. Jim was a top institutionally-ranked equity analyst on Wall Street and specialized in software technology. He worked with investment banking clients on IPOs, follow-on offerings, PIPEs, private placements, convertibles and merger advisory transactions. He has been regularly quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, Forbes, and appeared on CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg News. He raised in excess of $4 billion in capital for clients such as BEA Systems, Marimba, Mercury Interactive, Tibco and Webex.
Jim earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Margaret and their three children Colin, Sofia, and Joe. |
