Mr. Karman holds a B.S. degree from Miami University (Ohio) and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Karman taught corporate finance at the University of Wisconsin and was an Investment Manager, The Union Bank & Trust Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan, prior to joining RPM. From October 1973 through September 1978, Mr.Karman served as our Executive Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and, prior to that time, as Vice President Finance and Treasurer. From September 1978 to August 1999, he served as our President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Karman also served as Chief Financial Officer from October 1982 to October 1993, and again from June 2001 to October 2001. He was Vice Chairman from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Karman is a Director of A.
