James A. Johnson (Chair) - Jim Johnson formerly served as corporate CFO of Beatrice Foods and co-founded Apex Venture Partners in 1987. Jim is a general partner with investment focus in enterprise applications and services. Prior to founding Apex, Jim was a founding partner of Knightsbridge Partners, a middle market buy-out firm. Prior to Knightsbridge, Jim served in senior management roles with Beatrice Foods, including as corporate CFO and senior vice president of the $6 billion US Foods subsidiary. While at Beatrice, Jim was involved in more than 200 acquisitions and divestitures. Jim participates or has participated on the boards of directors of Cornerhardware.com (acquired by Smooth Corp.), Imaging Portals, Doublespace, EnvestNet, I3 Mobile, Select Comfort Corporation, TRADEX Technologies, and White Cap Industries. Jim holds a BA from Loyola University and an MBA from Northwestern University. |
