Mr. Atwood has served as a Managing Director and head of the Global Telecommunications and Media Group of The Carlyle Group since November 2002. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Atwood served as Executive Vice President for Strategy, Development and Planning at Verizon Communications, Inc. Prior thereto, he served as Executive Vice President, Strategic Development and Planning at GTE Corporation. Mr. Atwood currently also serves as a director of Hawaiian Telecommunications, Inc. and WILLCOM, Inc. |
