Jakeline Ramos-Calderon of White Plains, NJ, is program director for the Encore Plus Program at the YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester, a position she has held since August 1997. Since 1987, Jackie has been working as an oncology educator and researcher with cancer patients, their families and friends. In August of 1999 Encore Plus received the program of the year award from the women's Equality Day Committee. In April of 2003 Jackie received the Sharing in Mission Award from St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry NY, for her collaboration in the yearly health fair for immigrants served by Cabrini Immigrant Services. In June 2003 Jackie received from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation the BMW Local Hero Award. Jackie holds a B.S in Health Care Administration from St. John's University and is presently working on her M.S.W. at Fordham University. |
