Mr. Pyles joined SMT in August 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. He leads the finance organization, where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting, tax and treasury. In addition to these responsibilities, he manages the Information Technology, Human Resources and Legal areas for the company. Mr. Pyles previously worked for McAfee Security from 2004 to 2007, where he initially built the company’s first Sales Enablement and Operations team. Later, he moved into the Finance function where he was promoted to SVP of Finance, leading the company’s worldwide Accounting, Tax and Operations functions. Prior to McAfee, he worked as VP of Finance for Remedy Software from 2002 to 2004, where he lead the acquisition and integration of the unit into BMC Software. From 1995 to 2002, he worked for BMC Software in various Finance and Corporate Planning roles. Prior to BMC Software, he spent two years with Coopers & Lybrand in the Oil & Gas audit practice. Mr. Pyles holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Southern Methodist University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. |
