recently joined GeneDx as a Senior Genetic Counselor. Originally from Northwest Indiana, Jaimie graduated from the genetic counseling program at Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 2002. While completing the Howard program, Jaimie was employed as a Supplemental Information Specialist at the Genetic Alliance responding to genetic questions posed by physicians and the public. Prior to coming to GeneDx, she worked as a genetic counselor at Children's National Medical Center where she was responsible for the metabolic clinic and newborn screening program and also coordinated multiple research studies including a longitudinal study of patients with urea cycle disorders. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors as well as the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders. |
