Jacqueline Castel brings over fifteen years of experience in gaming law and compliance. She began her career in the gaming industry with the Ontario government, where she was involved in setting up the regulatory framework for commercial casinos and then administering this framework. During this time, she also assisted the government of Nova Scotia in developing their regulatory framework for casino gaming. Jacqueline Castel spent twelve years working for commercial casinos in Ontario. She was part of the opening team of Casino Niagara where she set up and ran the company's first legal and compliance departments. She also served as Vice President of Legal & Administration for Casino Rama, where she ran the legal, compliance, corporate affairs, security and purchasing departments. At both Casino Niagara and Casino Rama, she set up and administered effective compliance programs which included compliance procedures/controls, compliance handbooks for staff, compliance training programs, and a process for responding to and reporting regulatory issues.
Jacqueline Castel has also written a text book on gaming control law which she updates annually. She has published, written and spoken widely on the topics of regulatory compliance, gaming law, and currency reporting legislation and is regarded as an expert in these areas. Jacqueline Castel is available to assist governments in developing and setting up regulatory frameworks and casinos and gaming suppliers in developing effective compliance programs, in responding to regulatory issues, and in preparing regulatory submssions. |
