Jackie is a partner in our Bankruptcy, Workout and Restructuring Department. Jackie has been representing financial institutions, insurance companies and other institutions in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings and out of court workouts since 1990. She has extensive experience in defending bankruptcy related litigation including preferences and fraudulent conveyance actions. Jackie also has been involved in many out of court workouts for her lending clients including negotiating and documenting loan modifications and forbearance agreements in an effort to avoid the necessity of bankruptcy filings to maximize recovery.
Jackie received her law degree with honors from St. John’s University School of Law where she was an Associate Editor of the St. John’s Law Review and a St. Thomas More Scholar. Prior to attending law school, Jackie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with honors from the business school at the State University of New York at Albany where she was an active member of the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi.
Jackie is one of the founding members of the Board of Directors for the Long Island Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, a national not-for-profit association of professionals in the corporate restructuring industry. Jackie has also been trained and qualified for appointment as a Receiver by courts in the State of New York. |
