Jackie is a director. Her practice focuses primarily in the areas of general corporate, OSHA and environmental law. Her practice has included all major areas of the business and corporate law field, including corporate and business formation, general corporate contract advising and drafting, bank loan negotiation, and buying and selling businesses. She is also active in the Real Estate section, most notably in the area of environmental issues surrounding construction.
Of note, in the past several years, Jackie has spear headed commercial litigation resulting in a $5,000,000 award for her industrial client, has expanded her corporate practice to include multidisciplinary professional practices, and has embraced the high tech issues of the millennium, successfully using federal anti-cyber pirating laws. During the past five years, she has also developed an expertise working with minority and majority business owners in corporate disputes and litigation.
An authority in the fields of corporate, environmental, and OSHA compliance, Jackie frequently makes presentations to business and community groups regarding various corporate, environmental, and safety issues.
Jackie is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she was co-valedictorian, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated with highest honors. She received her law degree from the Ohio State University College of Law where she was named to the Order of the Coif, was a member of the Law Review, a Moot Court Advisor, and graduated summa cum laude.
She is a member of the Stark County Bar Association, serving on the Corporate Law and Membership Committees, and on the Corporate Law and Environmental Law Committees of the Ohio State Bar Association. Jackie also serves on the Board of the Canton Ballet, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton, the Stark County District Library and Jackson Township Recycling Station. A graduate of Leadership Stark, she is active in the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce participating in the Leadership Stark County Economic Growth and Development Day, the Environmental Quality Committee and the Safety Committee. Jackie has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® (2008).
