Jacob obtained his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine, where he also finished his four year surgical residency. After serving two years in the United States Navy as a surgeon at the Naval Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, he established a successful general surgery practice in Puyallup, Washington. A graduate of Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice, Dr. Kornberg has since given up his surgical practice to create the Center for Health Awareness - an integrated, holistic medical clinic in Federal Way, Washington. Besides his own private practice, Dr. Kornberg has been seeing patients as a clinical consultant at the Metagenics® Functional Medicine Research CenterSM in Gig Harbor, Washington, and has lectured internationally on health and wellness. |
