Mr. Watters joined WP Capital Partners, L.P. as an associate from Covalent Capital LLC, a lower middle market private equity firm. At Covalent Capital LLC, his primary responsibilities were sourcing, analyzing, and performing diligence on potential transactions in the retail/restaurant space. He also assisted in a number of strategic engagements, working with companies and investor groups which, together with the firm, committed over $40 million in equity investments in 2006. He brings a unique perspective to the firm, with experience in entrepreneurship, private equity, quality management and assurance and process improvement. Mr. Watters previously founded 2 companies in the beverage and restaurant industries, and works closely with entrepreneurs to assist them with growth capital, refinancing assets, or developing sensible exit strategies. Mr. Watters is certified as a Six Sigma/Lean Process Improvement Greenbelt and was employed by Lockheed Martin, working on their quality assurance and LM 21 Lean Process Improvement teams. Mr. Watters received his B.A. in Finance from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and M.B.A. in finance from Southern Methodist University. He is currently a CFA level II Candidate. |
