Jacob A. Doughty is an attorney in the firm's Chemical Practice Group focusing on patent prosecution. Before joining the firm, Mr. Doughty was an associate with an Alexandria, Virginia intellectual property firm. Mr. Doughty has experience in patent prosecution, patent litigation, opinion preparation and client counseling in diverse technologies, including image processing and formation, optical films and coatings, cosmetics, nanomaterials, catalysts, ceramics, pharmaceutical agents, medical adhesives, semiconductor processing and biotechnology.
Mr. Doughty received his Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University in 1997.
Mr. Doughty is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. |
