Jackie Walsh is the Administrative Director of the Musculoskeletal Division which includes Altru Rehabilitation Center, Orthopedics, Prosthetics/Orthotics, Neurology, Pain Management, Speech/Language Pathology, Podiatry, Hand Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Occupational and Physical Medicine. She is a 1977 graduate of St. Cloud School of Nursing where she received a diploma in registered nursing (RN) and is working on furthering her education. Prior to joining Altru Health System in 2003, Jackie has achieved 20 plus years of healthcare leadership experience. Her previous positions include: Staff Registered Nurse at Union Hospital, Mayville, ND (1977-1982); Assistant Director of Nursing at Douglas County Hospital, Alexandria, MN (1982-1985); Director of Women and Children's Services at Dakota Hospital, Fargo, ND (1985-1995); Director of Case Management (1995-1996) and Vice President of Nursing Services (1996-1998) at Dakota Heartland Health System, Fargo, ND; Administrative Director of Patient Care Services at St. Mary's Regional Healthcare Center, Detroit Lakes, MN (1998-2001); Private Healthcare Consultant (2001-2003); Manager of Employee Health, Occupational Health and Medicine at Altru Health System (2003-2005).
Ms. Walsh is actively involved in various professional organizations including Great Plains Perinatal Organization, National Perinatal Organization, March of Dimes, Region 5 Children's Service Committee, Safe Kids Coalition, Paracelsus System Resource Utilization Corporate Committee, and Northwest Technical College LPN Program Advisory Board. |
