Jack Sorensen joined the THQ management team in August 2001. In his role as executive vice president of worldwide studios, Sorensen oversees the Company's internal production staff, as well as each of THQ's internal development studios including Blue Tongue, Concrete Games, Cranky Pants Studios, Heavy Iron Studios®, Helixe, Pacific Coast Power & Light, Co., Rainbow StudiosT, Relic® Entertainment, THQ Australia Studio and Volition, Inc.®. He also manages THQ's product and studio acquisition activities. Sorensen's leadership is extremely important as the Company continues to expand its internal studio network to create more original franchises such as Volition's Red Faction and Rainbow Studios' MX Unleashed brands. Sorensen brings more than 12 years of high-tech executive business and product development experience to THQ. As president of Lucas Arts Entertainment Company, Sorensen managed the company through a period of rapid growth for more than six years. Before being appointed to president at Lucas, Sorensen managed product development, as well as international and business operations for the company. Sorensen holds a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. |
