Jack Saltich joined Immersion's board of directors on January 31 2002. Since October 2005 Saltich has served as executive chairman and before that beginning in February 2005 as chairman of Vitex Systems Inc. a developer of transparent ultra-thin barrier films for use in the manufacture of next-generation flat-panel displays. Prior to Vitex Systems he served as president and CEO of Three-Five Systems Inc. a global provider of electronics manufacturing services; vice president and general manager of the European Electronics Center of Advanced Micro Devices Inc.; and in various positions with AMD commencing in May 1993. Prior to joining AMD he held a number of engineering and operations management posts during a 17-year career at Motorola culminating in his position as vice president and director of the company’s Advanced Product Research and Development Laboratory. Saltich is also a member of the board of directors of Ramtron Corporation Leadis Technology and on the Technical Advisory Board for DuPont Electronic Materials Business. He received both bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and completed all course work for his PhD at Arizona State University. |
