Jack Griffin is the President of the Meredith Publishing Group. He assumed this position in July 2004. Griffin has 20 years of experience in the media industry, including magazines, integrated marketing, custom publishing, interactive media, television and newspapers. Prior to his current position, Griffin served as President of the Meredith Magazine Group. Griffin served as President of Parade Publications, Inc. and Publisher of PARADE magazine.
Griffin worked for five years at Meredith prior to Parade Publications, holding a number of sales and marketing roles including General Manager of Integrated Marketing and Custom Publishing, and Vice President of Marketing for the Broadcasting Group. During these years, he expanded Meredith's custom publishing and integrated marketing areas, doubling the custom publishing business in two years. Griffin also played a pivotal role in establishing relationships with Metropolitan Life, Nestle and Sears. Before Meredith, Griffin was with McCall's magazine for five years, serving as Vice President, Sales and Development.
Griffin received his MBA from the Yale University School of Management in 1988 and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Boston College in 1982. In addition, Griffin is Chairman of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), and in 2001 he was inducted into the AAF Hall of Achievement. He is on the Board of Directors of Catholic Relief Services and the Yale University Alumni Fund. Griffin and his wife, Kathleen, have two sons, John and David. |
